Our Article One Collection gives back to Flint, Michigan 2016-09-07 03:44:00

Article One is a really cool, independent eyewear company from the midwest that makes unique contributions back to community. They are already known for donating a portion of each frame purchase to the Helen Keller Foundation. As one of our favorite eyewear collections, we are proud to support their new campaign to help out the city in which it originates- Flint, Michigan. We stock all 6 models of the FLINT COLLECTION and for each purchase, 100% of the proceeds go to FlintKids.Org
In the words of Article One's website:
"We care about Flint, MI - a city that is home to our headquarters and close to our hearts. In the wake of the water crisis, we knew we needed to lend a hand to the community that has always lent a hand to us, which is why we designed a collection of frames to benefit the people most affected by the crisis - Flint children. 100% of the profits from these limited edition frames will be donated directly to FlintKids.org, an organization dedicated to long-term solutions for the health & development of Flint's youth. Your purchase of a pair of sunglasses from The Flint Collection will contribute to our goal of raising $40,000 for our city. Help us help to move #FlintFwd"

 | The EOF gang behind the coveted vinyl section of KEXP's comprehensive music library.
For many years, Eyes on Fremont has been a proud supporter and underwriter of Seattle's independent, listener powered radio station, KEXP. Now in their new, much-expanded studio facility, we were invited to check out what happens behind the airwaves.

 | An original studio keepsake of sorts: This original Nirvana "Nevermind" album secures fond memories with it's entertaining footnotes by the DJs playing it when the album released, way back in the station's KCMU days. It earned critical acclaim & heavy rotation stats by the these resident DJs before it made international record sales.

 | DJ Quilty 3000 on the air yesterday, taking a moment to explain the back scene DJ process... She's been a resident DJ since 2003 (and a longtime EOF customer)!
